From 13 to 17 July 2025, the International Association for Media and Communication Research (IAMCR) will convene over 1,700 experts from approximately 70 countries at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, hosted by the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information.
The conference theme, “Communicating Environmental Justice: Many Voices, One Planet,” underscores the event’s mission to amplify diverse stakeholder perspectives in driving sustainability and social equity through media. It features over 480 sessions, plenary talks, and interactive panels on critical topics such as AI’s role in environmental communication, challenges in environmental journalism, and inclusive sustainability campaigns.
A key highlight includes the opening plenary featuring Dr Janil Puthucheary, Singapore’s Senior Minister of State for Education and Sustainability, sharing insights into national climate communication strategies
For associations, IAMCR 2025 stands as a model of how to structure impactful, mission-oriented events that bring thought leadership, policy insight, and global networking into alignment through purposeful programming.
