TOKYO — JTB Group has expanded its destination management presence across Asia following the acquisition of All Wise Holdings Pte. Ltd., owner of the EXO Travel Group brand, by JTB’s Asia Pacific operations.
Founded in 1993, EXO Travel has grown into one of Asia’s largest destination management companies (DMCs), operating across Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, South Korea and Myanmar, as well as Egypt and Morocco. The company is known for its tailor-made travel programmes, local destination expertise and long-standing partnerships throughout the travel industry.
The acquisition brings together JTB’s global network and market reach with EXO Travel’s operational footprint across key destinations. Both organisations said the partnership is intended to support long-term growth while maintaining EXO Travel’s existing leadership structure, operating model and destination teams.
JTB Group President and CEO Eijiro Yamakita said EXO Travel had built strong trust across Asia through its focus on sustainable tourism and collaboration with local communities. He added that the combination of EXO Travel’s regional expertise and JTB’s global capabilities would create new opportunities for both organisations and their partners.
EXO Travel CEO Hamish Keith said the company would continue operating under its existing leadership and partner-focused approach while gaining access to additional resources and growth opportunities through the JTB Group.
The acquisition reflects ongoing consolidation across the travel and destination management sector, as organisations seek greater scale, geographic reach and operational capabilities. For JTB, the addition of EXO Travel strengthens its presence across some of Asia’s fastest-growing tourism and business events markets while expanding its destination management capabilities beyond its traditional network.
According to both organisations, existing client relationships, bookings and operational structures will remain unchanged as integration plans move forward.
