JAKARTA, Indonesia — The Singapore Business Federation (SBF) has expanded its engagement with Indonesia’s business community through a new partnership with the Indonesian Employers Association (APINDO), alongside continued collaboration with the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN).

Announced on 3 September following a series of engagements in Jakarta led by SBF Chairman Mark Lee, the new Memorandum of Understanding with APINDO focuses on three areas: cross-border business partnerships, structured dialogue, and talent and workforce development.

The partnership will connect Singapore companies with APINDO members through business matching and other initiatives, while roundtables and forums will provide platforms for businesses and industry stakeholders to address shared priorities. Skills development and talent exchange, including programmes such as Tech, will support greater cross-border industry exposure.

SBF is also building on a two-year MOU signed with KADIN in July 2026. That partnership covers digital enablement, policy engagement and capability building, including the rollout of SBF’s Trade AI Advisor in Indonesia.

During the Jakarta visit, SBF also engaged Indonesia’s sovereign wealth fund, Daya Anagata Nusantara Investment Management Agency (Danantara), on the country’s investment priorities.

The partnerships come ahead of Singapore’s ASEAN Chairmanship in 2027 and highlight how business associations can play a practical role in regional economic integration — connecting members across borders while providing platforms for dialogue, skills development and business opportunities.
