Singapore will host a series of international wind energy conferences and exhibitions from 2026 to 2029, following a Memorandum of Understanding signed in Hamburg on December 4, 2025. The agreement marks the first expansion of WindEnergy Hamburg beyond Europe and positions Singapore as an Asia-Pacific platform for the global wind energy sector.
The MoU was signed by DN Media Group, Hamburg Messe und Congress, Enterprise Singapore, and the Singapore Tourism Board. The signing was witnessed by Peter Tschentscher and Singapore’s Ambassador to Germany, Lee Chong Hock.
Under the agreement, Singapore will host the RECHARGE Wind Power Summit Asia-Pacific in 2026, followed by WindEnergy Asia-Pacific powered by RECHARGE in 2027 and 2029. The events will include conferences, exhibitions, plenary sessions, networking programmes, and site visits linked to Singapore’s offshore wind supply chain.
Organisers cited growing renewable energy demand across Asia-Pacific as a key factor behind the expansion, with several regional markets setting wind power targets and offshore wind expected to contribute significantly to future capacity growth.
According to the Singapore Tourism Board, the events are intended to provide a platform for collaboration between industry leaders, policymakers, and innovators. Enterprise Singapore noted that the programme will support regional partnership development within the offshore wind sector.
The initiative reflects broader efforts to connect global wind energy expertise with Asia-Pacific markets through Singapore’s business events infrastructure.
